The Tropical Storm Risk group has forecast a severe cyclonic storm to hit Burma on 2 May, bringing with it strong winds and the possibility of flooding on coastal roads and further inland. The state-run New Light of Myanmar said today the storm had moved north-east from Southwest Bay and West Central Bay and was now centred around 520 miles west-south-west of Pathein and predicted to continue to move north-eastwards.
